Data Warehouse Developer

Within the department of Data Sourcing and Distribution (DSD), part of Data Office COO at APG Asset Management, we are looking for an experienced SAS DWH developer who is forward thinking.
We are looking for a skilled and forward-thinking Data Warehouse Developer to join our Data Warehouse Team. You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our existing SAS-based Data Warehouse (DWH) while actively contributing to the modernisation and redesign of the future-state platform in Azure Databricks. The ideal candidate combines solid DWH development experience with SAS, SQL, and ETL frameworks, and is motivated to evolve toward modern data engineering practices (e.g., This is a unique opportunity to help shape the next-generation data platform for one of Europe's leading Asset Managers, supporting investment, risk, and regulatory domains.
Maintain, optimise, and enhance existing SAS-based DWH components (ETL jobs, data marts, reports).
• Analyse, document, and reverse engineer legacy data flows, business logic, and dependencies.
• Design and implement data pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and transformation logic in the target Azure Databricks platform.
• Collaborate with data architects and platform engineers to define target-state models, ingestion patterns, and metadata-driven frameworks.
• Contribute to data quality, reconciliation, and test automation for migrated datasets.
5+ years' experience in Data Warehouse or ETL development within financial services or asset management.
• Proven experience with SAS, SAS Data Integration Studio, SAS Macro programming.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational data models

• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and curiosity to explore how data supports investment decisions.
• Collaborative team player comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.
