Join the Legal Counsel role at Signify. We’re looking for a Legal Counsel to join our Legal Department in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. We are open to someone working from Amsterdam, but frequent travel to Eindhoven is expected (approximately 2 days per week). We would also be open to full-time or part-time (80%) arrangements.

As Legal Counsel you’ll be part of Signify’s global Legal function with responsibility for providing legal support to the Signify commercial organization in the Netherlands. The role includes providing commercial advice, supporting contract negotiations, raising legal awareness, and handling claims.

Responsibilities

• Providing legal guidance and expertise to support business leaders and managers in daily decision-making processes.
• Collaborating as an integral member of the legal team, engaging internal and external legal experts to deliver high-quality legal support.
• Advising on a wide range of contracting and commercial matters, particularly for products, systems, solutions and services (projects), considering commercial, operational and financial aspects.
• Advising on public procurement matters, government contracts and strategic business partnerships.
• Operating as Compliance Officer, embedding Signify’s Integrity Code and Compliance into daily commercial practices through awareness trainings and guidance from Group Legal across key compliance domains.
• Providing legal support on claims handling and litigation matters.
• Contributing to cross-functional legal initiatives and collaborating internationally with colleagues across diverse legal domains.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Dutch law
• From 4 years of professional legal experience in contracting, commercial, projects and compliance
• Practical, solution-oriented approach addressing legal requirements, exposure, and compliance
• Good social and communication skills, native Dutch speaker, fluent in English
• Experience in contract management and contract drafting
• Experience in public procurement law is preferred
• Able to explain and convince stakeholders, internally and externally
• Able to bridge business needs, corporate policies and applicable local laws including risk management
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at different organizational levels
