Overview

G2 are hiring for a Head of Facilities & HSE to join a site in Rotterdam. The client is a materials plant operator, and they are looking for a Head of Facility & HSE to work on operational safety, site strategy and the management of their HSE/HSEQ systems.

START : December 2025 (January start considered)

LOCATION : Rotterdam, Netherlands

Responsibilities

  • Manage operational safety, site strategy and the governance of HSE/HSEQ systems.
  • Advise operational, maintenance and site staff on health, safety and environmental issues.
  • Align company standards with Dutch regulations and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

  • HSE/HSSE/HSEQ/QHSE technical background with relevant certification (MVK, PA2, NEBOSH or similar).
  • 8 to 10 years of HSE + industrial experience.
  • Knowledge of safety HSE/QMS management systems.
  • Clear understanding of behaviour-based safety management.
  • Dutch language skills are essential.
  • Experience ideally on operational process plants – chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, manufacturing.

Role specifics

  • The client has the opportunity for the successful candidate to join in Q1 2026; mobilization at earliest convenience is welcomed.
  • Strong Head of Facility & HSE who can confidently advise site staff on health, safety and environmental issues.
  • Company will cover MVK/HVK training if absent and provide opportunities for future training.
