Your role

Located at our EMEA headquarters in Hoofddorp, near Amsterdam, you will contribute to our mission by managing all privacy-related legal matters and ensuring regulatory compliance across the EMEA region. As Legal Counsel, you will review contracts and Data Processing Agreements, develop privacy policies, conduct risk assessments and provide essential training whilst collaborating with stakeholders to maintain robust data protection standards. You will play a key role in weaving the fabric of our movement with your perspective and drive for innovation.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring regulatory compliance
• Reviewing contracts and DPA’s
• Development of policies and procedures
• Conducting privacy risk assessments
• Delivering training and awareness sessions
• Advising on data handling
• Incident response work
• Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders on privacy issues
• Monitoring legal and industry developments

You Have The Following Skills

• Qualified lawyer, preferably in an EU jurisdiction
• Three to five years working experience pertaining to data privacy matters, preferably as an inhouse counsel for an international organisation
• Preferably have IAAP credentials and experience as a Data Protection Officer (DPO)
• Fluency in English is essential, preferably fluent in another EU language as well
