Overview

Data Architect role at Hot ITem Conclusion . You are the trusted advisor for our clients to optimally set up a agile data platform. You design and advise on the architecture that underpins data-driven decisions for Business Intelligence as well as machine learning- and AI-solutions.

Within Hot ITem Conclusion you work primarily with Azure, AWS and Google Cloud platforms, complemented by technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks and other vendors (e.g., data management). You help shape a single customer vision for a future-proof data foundation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and advise on the data architecture and data roadmap in collaboration with business stakeholders, Consultants, the Program Manager and the technical development team.
• Decide which data sources to unlock, how to model data, how to structure cloud or on-premise platforms, and how to ensure quality, privacy and governance.
• Contribute to building data hubs or cloud-based data foundations that support BI, analytics and data-driven initiatives.
• Translate business needs into scalable data architecture that enables data-driven decision making and supports BI and ML/AI solutions.

About the team

• Architectuurcompetentie/ community includes a team of 10 ervaren Data- en Dataplatform-Architects; acting as the architectural core and aligning on a modern data architecture.

Who we are looking for

• HBO/WO work- and thinking level
• 5 to 10 years experience in the data field
• Min. 3 years as Data Architect in BI & Analytics
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS and Google Cloud
• Extensive experience with data modeling (3NF, dimensional and/or Data Vault)
• Understanding of and experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Value-driven mindset, not just technical
• Strong communication and stakeholder management
• Experience with presentations and workshops
• Experience with Enterprise Architecture; Togaf and Archimate is a plus
• Fluent in Dutch and English
