Allego is one of Europe’s leading Charge Point Operators (CPOs). Our goal is to contribute to zero emission mobility and ensure that EV drivers can charge at the right location with the right solution. We’re looking for a Director of Network Development to lead the Network Development department and all Heads of Network Development across all regions. This role’s mission is to ensure new fast‑charging sites that meet Allego’s quality standards.

Job Description

As Director of Network Development, you’ll be at the heart of Allego’s growth strategy. Reporting directly to the COO, you will:

• Lead and inspire a multi‑country team of Heads of Network Development.
• Secure strategic locations for new HPC sites along major traffic routes.
• Drive tender success and forge partnerships with high‑convenience multi‑site operators.
• Shape country‑specific strategies to maximize site utilisation and kWh uptake.
• Ensure performance excellence through clear KPIs, digital tools, and transparent tracking.

Job Requirements

• Proven leadership experience managing international teams and large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to build compelling business cases.
• Expertise in site acquisition, tender management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strategic mindset with hands‑on execution skills.
• Deep knowledge of the European EV market and charging infrastructure.
• Fluent in English (additional European languages are a plus).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.
• Willingness to travel regularly and maintain presence at our Arnhem HQ.
