Senior Software Engineer (DHUB)

Location: Apeldoorn – De Brug

Salary band: Scale 11 (€5,538.43 – €7,691.59), incl. IKB.

Education: HBO/WO required.

Experience level: Senior.

Employment type: Temporary with prospect of permanent.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the DataHub service and drive its evolution.
• Develop and maintain multiple software components within an Agile/DevOps team in the BOI unit.
• Write high‑quality Java code, including tests and documentation, following architectural guidelines.
• Support the full development life‑cycle from design to testing and production deployment.
• Collaborate on backlog refinement, sprint planning, and daily scrum meetings.
• Perform peer reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to unit, integration, and automated testing.
• Coordinate with the DevOps team for service monitoring, incident management, and release pipelines.
• Engage with architects, product owners, and other stakeholders to make design decisions.

Qualifications

• HBO/WO degree.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Experience in a cloud environment, preferably Azure and Kubernetes.
• Strong technical stack: Java 17, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux/Shell, GraphQL, Tekton, Azure, OpenShift, gRPC, Python, Helm, DotWebStack, Apache Airflow.
• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to share knowledge.
• Initiative and a continuous improvement mindset.

Benefits

36‑hour work week: €6,153.27 gross monthly salary (scale 11) plus €1,538.32 IKB.

Hybrid schedule: 2 days in the office (De Brug, Apeldoorn) and the rest remote.

Optional benefits include a pension plan (ABP), personal development budget, home‑office allowance, and a monthly health cost reimbursement of €146.88.

The IKB can be used for extra leave, salary advance, or contributions to a pension plan.
