The Products department at Thales Netherlands Naval is responsible for the system integration and testing of radar equipment (such as antennas, transmitters, and receivers), as well as testing the complete system throughout its entire lifecycle. The Products department is also responsible for the installation and commissioning of onboard systems, performing system performance tests, and providing services such as health checks, technical assistance, and repairs for our customers.
We offer the opportunity to work on a technically challenging product called GM200, consisting of a radar antenna with supporting technology in the field of data analysis, cooling systems, and generator.

As a System Test Manager, you'll be part of a test team and work collaboratively on these systems throughout their entire lifecycle. You'll work at the Thales site to deliver our systems and services to our customers. The System Test Manager role includes the following tasks and responsibilities:

• Responsible for the planning and execution of internal and external integration & testing activities of your team.
• Ensure timely and high-quality transfer of the system to the customer.
• Operational management of the team and providing support for the work.
• Troubleshooter and advocate for technical and/or performance problems.
• Team representative within the rest of the organization, such as product teams and customer account team.
• Provide input to the development of product policy and product strategy.

• HBO working and thinking level within a technical work environment.
• Relevant (work) experience with system/test engineering and project management in a high-tech work environment.
• Analytical, stress-resistant and problem-solving skills.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Experience in managing a team and/or getting a group of people on board.
• A sense of group dynamics and empathy with others.
• Be able to apply appropriate interventions to situations that require it.
• Good knowledge of English (oral and written), other language skills are an advantage.
