Here is where your challenge starts

For our legal department/HR department at HQ in Amsterdam, consisting of 4 enthusiastic Legal Counsels and 5 HR/payroll employees, led by an experienced Group Director Enabling Services (HR and Legal) we are looking for an ambitious Legal Counsel who is interested in a challenging role in a dynamic environment and is specialized in Employment Law (interest and/or experience in other law areas is a plus).

You will be the point of contact for the HR department and the production department of the Dutch organization and the Group with main focus on labor law. An important part of your time will be spent on advising the Dutch organization on the structures of the labor contracts for our productions, Workers Council meetings, general labor law questions, terms and conditions for our staff and developments in labor law in general. Important part of the role is to provide pro-active, pragmatic, practical and analytical legal advice. Pending on your experience and interest the scope of the role can be extended to other areas of law.

Qualifications And Experience

• Qualified LL.M lawyer (Dutch law)
• At least 4 years of relevant experience gained as an employment law specialized lawyer at a top tier/niche firm and or as an in-house counsel with focus on labor law
• Team player, pro-active smart lawyer and good negotiator with a pragmatic approach and determined to achieve high-quality results
• Fluent writing and speaking skills in Dutch and English
