Senior Operations Manager

Location: Europe (Hybrid – flexible within major ABB E-mobility hubs)

ABB E-mobility is a global leader in Electric Vehicle (EV) infrastructure and services, delivering high-performance charging solutions and managed network services to customers across Europe, North America, and beyond. We partner with clients such as landowners and retailers to ensure that deployed charging assets perform reliably, delivering excellent customer experience and business value.

We are now building a new managed service offering that combines hardware, software, and operational excellence into a unified service model. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-scaling, high-impact business within ABB E-mobility — where you will help define the operational backbone of our next growth chapter.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead the end‑to‑end operational performance of customer charging networks, ensuring reliability, service quality, and commercial outcomes.
• Act as the primary operational contact for key clients, managing relationships, expectations, and escalations at both strategic and operational levels.
• Drive process and performance excellence by defining metrics, analysing data (SQL), managing SLAs, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate cross‑functional and partner activities for network deployment, maintenance, and energy management projects (e.g., BESS integration, grid optimisation).
• Develop and scale standardized operating models, playbooks, and tools to support efficient monitoring and management across multiple markets.
• Lead continuous improvement and business growth initiatives, applying operational insights to shape future service offerings and ensure profitability and scalability.

What you bring to the table:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, operations, or business-related field.
• Minimum 5 years of operations management experience, ideally in EV charging, renewable energy, or other high‑growth technology environments.
• Proven success in building or scaling operational processes and managing complex service networks.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with proficiency in SQL; familiarity with Databricks or similar platforms is an advantage.
• Excellent project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
• Strong communication and influencing abilities, with a collaborative and proactive mindset.
• Fluent in English; other European languages are a plus.
