Your Responsibilities
Full ownership of the entire contracting lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, and leading negotiations for all commercial agreements (MSAs, DPAs, SLAs, partnerships, vendors). Develop and implement scalable contracting SOPs and templates to empower and accelerate the Commercial team. Act as the primary legal advisor to leadership and all cross‑functional teams, providing pragmatic, risk‑balanced advice on legal and compliance matters. Own the data privacy and compliance program, partnering closely with Information Security and Compliance Officer to ensure operations and products adhere to GDPR, HIPAA, and other global regulations. Manage all corporate governance for legal entities, oversee the intellectual property (IP) portfolio, proactively identify and mitigate legal risks, and manage any disputes that arise.

We work in a dynamic and regulated international space. Our landscape includes frameworks and regulations, contracting domains, core legal areas, and tools.
- Frameworks & Regulations: GDPR, HIPAA, and other international data privacy laws.
- Contracting Domains: B2B SaaS Agreements (MSAs, DPAs, BAAs, SLAs), OEM & Partnership Agreements, Vendor & Subcontractor Contracts.
- Core Legal Areas: Corporate Governance, Intellectual Property, Risk Management, and Dispute Resolution.
- Tools: We are building our legal operations stack, and you will be key in helping select and implement AI tools (e.g., Contract Lifecycle Management).
Who You Are
- 3+ years of legal experience, ideally with in-house experience at a B2B SaaS or HealthTech company.
- A full qualification as a lawyer in a relevant jurisdiction (e.g., Netherlands or other EU member state).
- Strong expertise in commercial contracting and complex B2B negotiations, with a proven ability to get deals done.
- Deep knowledge of data privacy regulations, particularly GDPR and HIPAA.
- A “builder” mindset: experience creating and implementing legal processes, templates, and SOPs from scratch.
- A pragmatic, business‑oriented approach, with the ability to clearly communicate complex legal risks and balance them with commercial objectives.
- A commitment to acting as a trusted, collaborative partner to the leadership team, Commercial team, and all other departments.
- Love to collaborate with peers and thrive in an international environment; willing to learn new things and have a curious nature.
- A genuine affinity for legal technology and a strong curiosity about how emerging tools, particularly AI, can transform legal operations to make them more efficient and effective.
This role is hybrid. We are looking for someone based in the Netherlands who can work from our Amsterdam office once or twice a week.
