This is an exciting opportunity to shape the financial future of a high‑growth, performance‑driven business operating in the B2B manufacturing sector. We’re looking for a Chief Financial Officer to drive financial strategy, enhance operational insight, and partner with leadership to deliver long‑term success.

As a hands‑on CFO, you will lead the finance function end‑to‑end from reporting and forecasting to performance management, compliance, and board‑level decision support. This is a high‑impact, high‑visibility role with significant influence across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise the board & executive team: Provide strategic counsel on key business decisions, acquisitions, and risk.
• Play a key role in developing the long‑term strategy of the business in conjunction with the Managing Director.
• Drive insight & performance: Deliver clear, data‑driven analysis and KPI dashboards that enable smart decision‑making across the business.
• Lead and develop the finance function and play a broader leadership role across IT & Operations.
• Lead financial planning & reporting: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles.
• Oversee financial operations: Ensure integrity across invoicing, cash flow, and cost controls.
• Manage external audits & statutory accounts: Own the year‑end process and lead the relationship with auditors.
• Ensure robust controls & compliance: Maintain financial policies, risk frameworks, and full adherence to regulatory requirements.

Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA) or equivalent, with strong technical and commercial grounding.
• Experience in the manufacturing sector, ideally within a growing SME environment.
• Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally in a regulated or complex environment.
• Track record of leading financial strategy and operations, including year‑end, audits, and board‑level reporting.
• Expertise in process improvement, cost control, and compliance.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills—able to build credibility with internal and external stakeholders alike.
• Comfortable leading transformation and building high‑performance teams.
