The Head of Categories and Procurement is a
strategic leader responsible for developing and executing category
management and procurement strategies to support organizational
growth, innovation, and competitive advantage. This role demands a
deep understanding of market dynamics, product strategy, pricing
and supply chain optimization. The successful candidate will
oversee the end-to-end management of categories and procurement,
ensuring that business objectives are achieved through exceptional
product planning, supplier collaboration, and operational
excellence.· Category Revenue growth o
Define and implement robust category strategies focused on product
growth and market competitiveness.o Define and implement pricing
strategies to ensure growth and profitability for each segmento
Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, customer
preferences, and opportunities for innovation.o Evaluate product
portfolio performance within categories, making data-driven
decisions to refine product mix, pricing strategies, and inventory
levels.· Category Margin growtho Develop
strategies to maximize margin growth across all categories while
maintaining competitive pricing and value for customers.o Conduct
detailed cost analysis and collaborate with suppliers to identify
cost-reduction opportunities without compromising quality.o
Optimize product assortment and pricing structures to achieve
desired profitability levels.· Cost effective Procurement
Managemento Oversee procurement operations to ensure
efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with organizational
and regulatory standards.o Drive strategic sourcing initiatives to
enhance cost savings, quality, and supplier reliability.o Negotiate
contracts to secure favorable terms while maintaining supplier
satisfaction and business continuity.· Team Leadership and Developmento
Lead, mentor, and inspire the category management and procurement
teams to deliver exceptional results.o Promote a collaborative
culture focused on innovation, performance, and continuous
improvement.o Set clear objectives, provide constructive feedback,
and invest in professional development opportunities for team
members.· Performance Monitoring and
Reportingo Establish KPIs to measure category
growth, margin improvement, procurement efficiency, supplier
performance, and cost management.o Analyze and present category
performance metrics, offering actionable recommendations to senior
leadership.o Ensure robust data management systems to support
decision-making and enhance operational transparency.
Requirements
·
Proven Category management experience, preferably in gift cards or
gaming· Leadership experience (8+ years) · University (WO)
degree - Masters - in Marketing or Commercial studies preferred·
Proven track record of successfully managing multi-million-dollar
procurement portfolios across various categories.· Exceptional
negotiation and influencing skills to manage complex supplier
relationships and internal stakeholders.
