Legal counsel （Geely Auto Brand）

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate various legal documents, contracts and agreements for all kinds of business operations, such as NDAs, sales contracts (including but not limited to dealer agreements and after‑sales agreements), purchase agreements, cooperation agreements, memoranda; maintain and update contract templates/precedents from time to time to continually improve the contract management process.
• Participate in the qualification review of potential business partners, including but not limited to the qualification of dealers and compliance reviews.
• Provide legal support on regulatory compliance issues, such as trade compliance, data protection, merger filings, international sanctions, anti‑bribery, and related matters.
• Offer human‑resource related legal support, including handling disputes with employees and providing opinions on Mexican labor law.
• Select, manage and supervise external lawyers, ensuring a high quality of external legal support in an effective and efficient manner (including cost‑efficiency).
• Perform legal analysis and provide legal advice on dispute resolution and/or quality claims.
• Collaborate closely with the operations/project team to proactively support a wide range of transactions.
• Other legal responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• LLB or LLM from a reputable international law school or equivalent.
• Admission to the local market or equivalent will be a plus.
• Excellent oral and written English and Spanish skills.
• 3‑7 years post‑qualification experience in corporate general and dispute resolution, preferably working experience in an MNC from the manufacturing or automotive industry.
• Demonstrated excellent legal knowledge and business understanding for detailed and results‑oriented solutions, and strong communication and negotiation skills with clients, colleagues and government officials.
• Mature personality with a proactive attitude, high integrity and self‑motivation, and the ability to work and judge efficiently and autonomously under pressure.
