YOU WORK FOR WE®

As a Buyer Menswear, you play a key role in the development and purchasing of our Menswear collections. In this role, your focus will be fully on knitwear. You are responsible for the entire buying process, from selecting high-quality materials and negotiating competitive prices to planning production and choosing the right suppliers. Your suppliers are located in China, Bangladesh, Cambodia and Myanmar, among others, and you maintain these relationships both digitally and during regular visits. In doing so, you negotiate price, quality and delivery terms, while closely monitoring compliance with our quality and CSR standards.

In this role, you will provide strategic & creative input and work closely with the Design and Merchandising departments. Based on a good eye for product, market analysis and trend insights, you translate our consumers' needs into actual collections. Together with Merchandising, you draw up a strategic plan to offer the right products at the best locations and moments, and you actively adjust during the season in order to optimise results.

You also manage a Buying Assistant, who is responsible for order processing and administrative support. You maintain an overview, keep the buying system accurate and up-to-date and use data to provide analyses and reports. This enables you to respond quickly to changes and continuously work on process improvement.

In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Buying.

What do we expect from you?

• You have 2 to 5 years working experience within a Buying department where you have been responsible for a product group and have experience with Menswear.
• You have an eye for detail and are a strong communicator.
• You can keep a cool head! You maintain an overview, set the right priorities and, with great attention to detail, don't overlook anything.
• Finally, you have a passion for Menswear fashion and already know what will be the trend next season.

YOU WORK FOR WE®

Als Buyer Menswear speel je een sleutelrol in de ontwikkeling en inkoop van onze Menswear-collecties. In deze rol ligt jouw focus volledig op knitwear. Jij bent verantwoordelijk voor het volledige inkoopproces, van het selecteren van hoogwaardige stoffen en onderhandelen over scherpe prijzen tot het maken van productieplanningen en het kiezen van de juiste leveranciers. Jouw leveranciers bevinden zich onder andere in China, Bangladesh, Cambodja en Turkije, en je onderhoudt deze relaties zowel digitaal als tijdens regelmatige bezoeken. Hierbij onderhandel je over prijs, kwaliteit en leveringsvoorwaarden, terwijl je nauw toeziet op naleving van onze kwaliteits- en CSR-standaarden.

In deze rol lever je strategische input en werk je nauw samen met de afdelingen Design en Merchandising. Op basis van marktanalyse en trendinzichten vertaal je de behoeften van onze consument naar concrete collecties. Je stelt samen met Merchandising een strategisch plan op om de juiste producten op de beste locaties en momenten aan te bieden en stuurt tijdens het seizoen actief bij om resultaten te optimaliseren.

Daarnaast stuur je een Buying Assistant aan, die verantwoordelijk is voor orderverwerking en administratieve ondersteuning. Jij behoudt het overzicht, houdt het inkoopsysteem accuraat en up-to-date en maakt gebruik van data om analyses en rapportages te leveren. Dit stelt je in staat om snel in te spelen op veranderingen en continu te werken aan procesverbetering.

In deze rol rapporteer je rechtstreeks aan de Head of Buying.

Wat we van jou verwachten?

• Je hebt 2 tot 5 jaar werkervaring binnen een Buying afdeling waarbij je verantwoordelijk bent geweest voor een productgroep en ervaring hebt met Menswear.
• Je hebt oog voor detail en bent communicatief sterk in je contact met anderen.
• Jij kan het hoofd koel houden! Je behoudt overzicht, stelt de juiste prioriteiten en ziet met veel aandacht voor details niets over het hoofd.
• Tot slot, je hebt een passie voor Menswear fashion en weet nu al wat volgend seizoen de trend gaat worden.
