About the Role

Our manufacturing client is seeking a Freelance Automation Engineer to support ongoing and upcoming automation projects across multiple sites in the Netherlands. This hybrid role combines remote engineering work with on-site involvement when hands-on support or commissioning is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and optimise PLC, SCADA, and control system logic.
• Provide troubleshooting, maintenance support, and system upgrades.
• Assist with commissioning of new equipment and automation improvements.
• Contribute to digitalisation and Industry 4.0 project initiatives.
• Deliver clear technical documentation and system updates.

Requirements

• Proven freelance/contract experience in automation engineering.
• Strong PLC programming skills (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
• Solid troubleshooting ability and hands-on mindset.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
