Job Description As a Key Account Manager at Resideo, you understand what matters. With ongoing concerns about fluctuating energy costs, you are well-versed in our range of thermostats and comfort solutions that make a real difference. To strengthen our position in the Netherlands and expand our market share in the segment of national installers, this role is crucial for building and maintaining long-term relationships with the largest nationwide installation companies, both in new construction and renovation. Part of the role also involves establishing a network with nationally operating project developers and construction companies, with the residential nature of the business remaining the foundation. In this way, you contribute to growth and capitalize on relationship-driven opportunities. You will work closely with colleagues to optimally support customer projects and/or initiate them. The position reports to the Commercial Country Leader Netherlands & MD. You will be part of a successful, customer-friendly, and above all enthusiastic sales team focused on revenue and profit! JOB DUTIES:
Sales Strategy: Identify opportunities and isolate threats to market position.
Formulate improvements in product/market combinations and position the organization and its products in the market, aimed at product assortment development and profitability.
Initiate strategic partnerships within larger organizations in the Netherlands.
Sales Plan: Define objectives and activities for product sales and marketing. Forecast expected revenue per region. Create buy-in for management objectives.
Sales Process: Manage progress of sales activities and results. Resolve bottlenecks in the sales organization and issues with sales activities.
Support the sales team in fostering value-added contacts for customers and laying the foundation for profitable, sustainable relationships. Build and maintain relationships with major accounts and prospects.
Management Reporting: Assess sales and marketing results against objectives. Analyze trends and identify causes for deviations. Formulate improvements in product sales and marketing. Act as the primary contact for a selected group of nationwide installers.
Develop deep insight into the strategic objectives and operational needs of related project developers and residential construction companies.
Identify and leverage upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
Monitor account health, manage renewals, and ensure high customer satisfaction.
The overarching goal of the KAM is to drive installer retention, satisfaction, and revenue growth through proactive relationship management, introduction of new products and services, and strategic account development.
YOU MUST HAVE:
At least 5 years of experience in a sales/key account management role, ideally in the same or related industry.
Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to manage DMUs and strategic relationships.
Ability to optimize organizational results, function in an advisory, coaching, and guiding role within a matrix organization.
Ability to achieve results through implementing sales strategies, plans, and management reports.
Driver’s license and willingness to travel within the country.
Contributes through personal effort to excellent team spirit within the department, with colleagues and customers.
Provides commercially and technically sound advice.
Enthusiastic, flexible, reliable, with excellent communication and commercial skills.
Excellent verbal and written skills in Dutch and English are required.
