We are looking for Data engineers to help build a state-of-the-art Data Platform in Google Cloud Platform at Xccelerated. Are you a Data or software engineer with experience in data pipelines, data platforms or data warehouse environments? Then join our Data Platform team! You will work together with experienced consultants and receive over 60 days of tailored training to maximize your learning and impact and boost your career.

About the role

Our data team wants to become an entirely data-driven organisation. To reach this goal, they are building a new, modern, Data Platform on GCP, which will be used to provide insights and (self-service) analytics to the company, The Data Platform will be built from scratch, and your team is responsible for its architecture, development and maintenance.

You will be a very crucial part of the team. In your day-to-day work, you will collaborate with the engineering and analytics teams and build components of the platform that enables the users to create scalable pipelines and deploy models in production.

The Xccelerated program

The first year you will be part of the Xccelerated program, so we can train you further on Data Engineering related topics, that you will need to develop to help the client with building their Data Platform

· 2 fulltime weeks of hands-on bootcamp training where you’ll focus on writing deployable code, containerization, data engineering and cloud fundamentals

· Work 4 days a week as a Data (Platform) Engineer at our partner organization

· Every Friday you will get ongoing training and project support from our Tech Leads at Xccelerated to help you grow

· At the end of your first year, you will join the client directly

As a Data (Platform) Engineer you will:

✅ Help the team with building, deploying and maintaining their new Data Platform (GCP)

✅ Build components of the platform that enables the users to build scalable pipelines and deploy models in production

✅ Maintain and develop infrastructure related to data

✅ Collaborate with the Platform and analytics teams to ensure cohesive integration between systems and data models are in place

This is you

You have a strong can-do mentality. You focus on results, have a desire to complete challenging tasks and learn while doing.

Next to this, you have:

✅ A Bachelor/Master level education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cloud Computing or related field

✅ 1 - 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer

✅ Familiar with industry big data platform stack (for example: Databricks, Spark, Airflow)

✅ Experience in working on public Cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure)

✅ Proficiency in Python
