Solution Architect

IT Solution Architect (freelance)

Bridge business needs with modern, scalable IT solutions.

We’re looking for a versatile IT Solution Architect to support a large, international organization with end-to-end responsibility for solution design, integration, and technical project delivery. You will work closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and central/global IT departments to modernize applications, guide migrations, and deliver high-quality, future-proof solutions.

What you will do

• Perform fit-gap analyses for existing applications
• Produce clear solution and product documentation
• Coordinate migration projects (replatforming, refactoring, reverse engineering)
• Translate business requirements into technical designs within a complex IT landscape
• Advise stakeholders on process improvements and solution architecture
• Support and/or execute implementation activities for new or updated systems
• Collaborate closely with international IT departments and local business teams

What you bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related technical field (HBO or WO)
• Strong experience in IT solution design, integration, and implementation
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to bridge business and IT

Experience with:

• Project management frameworks (Prince2, ITPM, or similar)
• ITIL processes (incident, change, problem, release management)
• Agile methods (SAFe, LeSS, AWM) using Jira/Confluence
• Legacy systems (Mainframe: COBOL , DB2, CICS, JCL)
• Modern development environments (Java, AWS, Oracle, Microsoft)
