Technical Inspector E&I
In this role you support the Vessel Management Teams with the daily technical management of electrical and instrumentation systems across a diverse fleet. You coordinate repair and maintenance activities, supervise the installation and commissioning of new or modified E&I equipment, and ensure compliance with all relevant maritime regulations. You work closely with crew, engineers, and internal departments to maintain safe, efficient, and sustainable operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Support Vessel Management Teams and vessel crew with day-to-day E&I maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Define the E&I scope of work, prepare repair and maintenance proposals, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate and supervise engineering, installation, and commissioning of new or upgraded E&I systems.
- Arrange and plan third-party service engineer visits and ensure compliance with flag state, classification society, and IMO regulations.
- Prepare, plan, and witness DP annual and periodical trials, while maintaining accurate technical documentation.
Requirements:
- BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the offshore, dredging, construction, or shipbuilding industry.
- Familiarity with maritime rules and regulations from classification agencies and IMO.
- Strong coordination, communication, and planning skills.
