Sales Manager Benelux - Key Account Management (f/m)


We are hiring a Sales Manager Benelux - Key Account Management (f/m), based in Rotterdam

Our client is a globally recognized leader specializing in the leasing and maintenance of tank containers.

With more than 50 years of experience, the company has established itself as the worldwide leader in the tank container leasing industry, supporting the safe transport of bulk liquids and gases, including hazardous materials, for a diverse portfolio of clients across sectors such as: Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Mining, Food, Energy, and Transportation.

In the context of its strong growth and continued focus on customer proximity in Europe, Our client is recruiting a Sales Manager for the Benelux region.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the General Manager Europe, the Sales Manager Benelux will be responsible for managing and developing commercial activity across the Benelux region, leveraging a highly technical, premium-quality product offering and a continuously evolving container fleet.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and grow a portfolio of key accounts within the chemical, petrochemical, industrial gas, and food industries (mainly hazardous product - ADR).
  • Identify and prospect new clients (hunting) while retaining and expanding existing accounts (farming).
  • Manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders (Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, and Production sites).
  • Provide technical advice and consultative sales support to clients, in collaboration with internal technical teams (engineering, product specialists, maintenance).
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, ensuring profitability and long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct ongoing market and competitor analysis (operators, leasing companies, service providers).
  • Contribute to the European commercial strategy, in close coordination with other Sales Managers spread all over Europe.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.

Profile Requirements

  • Strong technical affinity: prior experience in the chemical industry would be a strong asset.
  • 4 to 5 years’ experience in B2B complex sales in a technical and international environment.
  • Management of strategic key accounts for multinational firms with a Global footprint.
  • Proven track record managing multi-stakeholder sales cycles (procurement, supply chain, operations).
  • Balanced approach between business development (hunting) and account management (farming).
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build long-term relationships.
  • Confortable in consultative, international and technical sales environments.
  • Higher education degree in business, engineering, or supply chain management (or equivalent).
  • Fluent in English and in Dutch.
  • Autonomous, collaborative, at ease in a small team and results driven.
