IT Category Manager


Job Description IT Category Manager As member of the Global Procurement team, you will be responsible for all IT procurement activities related to indirect spend within the Group. Group Procurement is part of the cost management team within the CFO domain and has the mission to maximize the added value for DLL when procuring goods and/or services from Suppliers. To realize this, you will work with (internal) stakeholders to identify needs and roadmap items, execute tactical (and operational) procurement activities, and build supplier relationships. DLL sets out for continuous improvements to its (core) processes, and needs you to guide the approach to market, structured information analysis, facilitate the internal risk management processes, and close on contract negotiations. We are an international team with presence in the US and Netherlands. Where you will represent DLL Group externally together with the business representative. Within this position you take ownership and responsibility for a large portfolio of IT suppliers (like Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, PEGA systems, Global IT Service Providers etc...). You'll create excellent relationships with the budgetholders, who will trust your expertise and give you responsibility for IT spend up to € ! Due to your investigative nature you'll know exactly what is important to your internal stakeholders and with your "get it done" attitude you'll make sure they are well served. Group Procurement is part of the cost management team, which is also includes disciplines concerning supplier management, finance cost control, outsourcing management, and first line privacy for corporate center activities.   • Sourcing - to create and execute RFIs and RFPs together with subsequent structured information analysis.
  • Contract negotiation - to prepare, negotiate and implement appropriate forms of contract and commitment with suppliers.
  • Contract/Purchase Order Renewals – manage contract/service renewals to identify cost efficiencies and maintain service continuity.
  • Buying power - challenge the current strategies and look for opportunities to reduce costs, decrease risk and/or improve reliability.
  • Stakeholder Management - Establish and maintain key stakeholder relationship within the organization.
  • Stakeholder Management - Establish and maintain key stakeholder relationship with strategic suppliers
  • Oversee contract management and coordinate supplier risk mitigation and management.
  • Ensure regular/recurring supplier due diligence is followed.
  • Applying regulations/requirements into practice as it relates to Supplier Due Diligence and Contracting (i.e. US Cyber Security, GDPR, European Banking Authority Outsourcing guidelines, Digital Operational Resilience Art (DORA).
  • Take initiative to further optimize internal processes.

  • Relevant Bachelor or Master degree.
  • Experienced in the IT procurement domain or commercial (related) role.
  • It is considered a pre when affinity with one or more:
    • Experience with supplier relation management
    • Experience with contracting and price negotiation
    • Experience with contract management
    • Commercial experience (e.g. sales)
    • Experience in regulated industry
General Skills and characteristics:
