The job profile
The Global Financial Business Partner Procurement is responsible for providing financial leadership and strategic insights to the Global Procurement function, ensuring that financial performance and cost-saving opportunities are aligned with business objectives. The role involves overseeing financial planning, analysis, and reporting for global procurement activities, while working closely with procurement leadership to drive efficiency, optimize procurement strategies, and improve overall financial performance.
- Lead Financial Planning & Budgeting cycle for global procurement
- Lead periodic reporting & insights - including detailed analysis of procurement spend, cost savings initiatives, and key performance metrics
- Cost Management & Optimization
- Analyze procurement spend across categories, suppliers, and regions to identify opportunities for cost savings, supplier optimization, and improved procurement efficiency
- Support in strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations by providing detailed cost breakdowns, should-cost analysis, and benchmarking
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to develop and implement cost-reduction initiatives, such as supplier consolidation, contract renegotiations, and value engineering.
- Track and report savings initiatives to ensure that realized savings align with forecasted targets and are reflected accurately in financial reporting
- Procurement Performance Analysis:
- Conduct detailed analysis of procurement KPIs, including cost savings, supplier performance, procurement cycle times, and contract compliance, providing actionable insights to drive continuous improvement
- Develop financial models to evaluate the impact of procurement decisions, such as changes in supplier contracts, global sourcing strategies, or shifts in raw material prices
- Evaluate the financial implications of market trends, such as commodity price fluctuations or changes in supplier markets, and provide insights to mitigate potential risks to profitability
- Collaborate with procurement teams to create dashboards and reports that give realtime visibility into procurement performance, spend analytics, and key supplier metrics
- Business Partnering & Strategic Decision Support:
- support strategic decision-making on sourcing, supplier negotiations, and procurement strategies
- business cases for key initiatives, such as global supplier contracts, category management strategies, and new supplier partnerships
- financial analysis to support make-or-buy decisions, cost-benefit evaluations of supplier changes, and decisions on procurement technology investments
- assess the financial impact of sustainability initiatives, such as supplier diversity, green sourcing, and ethical sourcing strategies

The ideal candidate

Strong interpersonal skills are essential: you are good in building relationships, managing different stakeholders and know how to best deliver the message or engage in a discussion to get your point across in a respectful, effective way.
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Economics, Business Administration or similar. A post-qualification such as CMA, CFA or RC is a plus.
- 8-10 years of experience in FP&A, procurement finance, or business partnering roles, preferably within a multinational organization.
- Experience working within an international matrix environment, collaborating across multiple regions and procurement categories.
- Procurement Finance Expertise: Strong understanding of procurement finance processes, including cost analysis, savings tracking, and performance management. Experience in providing financial support to procurement teams is essential.
- Financial Systems Proficiency: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and financial reporting tools. Experience with financial modelling and analysis software is advantageous.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting: Expertise in performing advanced financial analysis, preparing procurement-related financial reports, and providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Data Consolidation and Accuracy: Experience in consolidating financial data across multiple regions and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of financial reporting for procurement functions.
- Process Improvement: Proven ability to identify inefficiencies in financial reporting and procurement finance processes, with experience implementing process improvements.
