Business Development Specialist - Nuclear SMR

Allseas is developing a 25MWe/70MWth high-temperature gas cooled Small Modular Reactor (SMR). This compact, intrinsically safe, and scalable design makes the SMR suitable for a wide range of applications. From offshore vessels, bulk carriers, container ships, and port areas to industrial sites such as chemical clusters, steel plants, refineries, and datacenters.

Your role

As Business Development Specialist, you will be a key member of the multidisciplinary nuclear team within the Innovations Department. You will work closely with the project manager and other technical, regulatory, and strategic specialists to drive the commercial development of the Small Modular Reactor (SMR) program.

Your responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients: Develop and maintain relationships with prospective clients. Capture their requirements and translate these into clear feedback for the design and engineering teams to ensure solutions meet market needs. Plan and manage feasibility studies for implementation of the SMR’s.
  • Represent Allseas globally: Visit meetings and conferences globally to present work and pursue opportunities.
  • Shape the market: Continuously assess both the on-land and maritime/offshore markets for SMR deployment through quantitative and qualitative analyses. Identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics

What we expect from you

  • University degree (BSc/MSc) in a relevant technical discipline (e.g. engineering, physics, chemistry);
  • Proven experience in technical-commercial roles within complex energy or industrial projects (preferably Offshore/Onshore Energy or Construction related);
  • Ability to translate technical complexity into clear commercial propositions;
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, we are seeking “eagerness for success”, with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate effectively at the interface of technology development, regulation, and commercial deployment;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a strong command of spoken English and strong presentation skills;
  • Willingness to travel (domestically and internationally) as required by the role;
  • Understanding of the nuclear, maritime or energy sector is an advantage.
