Overview The Manager of the Pricing Department is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing pricing strategies across airfreight, ocean freight, and road freight services, to maximize revenue, profitability, and market competitiveness. This role involves close collaboration with sales, marketing, finance, carriers, and product teams to ensure pricing decisions align with business objectives and market dynamics Responsibilities Pricing Strategy & Development
Create and maintain pricing models for air, ocean, and road freight services aligned with company objectives.
Monitor market trends, competitor rates, and cost structures to ensure competitive positioning.
Develop strategies for tenders, RFQs, and spot pricing to maximize profitability.
Quotation & Tender Management
Oversee preparation and approval of customer quotations across all transport modes.
Ensure timely and accurate responses to RFQs, tenders, and spot rate requests.
Support sales teams with pricing guidance and margin analysis.
Carrier & Vendor Negotiation
Build strong relationships with airlines, shipping lines, trucking companies, and consolidators.
Work close with internal product teams
Negotiate rates and service agreements to optimize cost and service levels.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyze pricing performance, margins, and profitability across trade lanes and transport modes.
Provide regular reports and insights to senior management for strategic decisions.
Team Leadership
Manage and develop the pricing team, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
Foster collaboration with sales, operations, and procurement teams.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and contractual obligations.
Mitigate risks related to pricing errors or contractual liabilities.
Qualifications Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field (MBO preferred)
5+ years of experience in pricing, revenue management, or financial analysis.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in Excel, SQL, and pricing software.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience leading teams and managing cross-functional projects.
Knowledge of pricing strategies in (industry) is a plus.
ITAR, Dangerous Goods or TSA work expeirence / regulations, GDP
Pricing Governance : Ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Project Management : Managing pricing initiatives and process improvements.
Attention to Detail : Ensuring accuracy in pricing data and implementation.
It Skills
Strong PC skills (Windows, Microsoft Office applications) preferred

Language Skills
Fluent oral and written English is a must
Additional (major) European languages would be an asset
