Drive and lead implementation of BASF Occupational safety & health related (including industry hygiene) Directives and Requirements in ECP/A.
Cultivate and provide Occupational safety & health expertise to raise site employee knowledge and awareness in ECP/A. Ensures compliance with local and international regulations, promotes employee health and well-being, and mitigates workplace health risks through proactive strategies and technical expertise.
Main Task: Leadership & Collaboration:
Provide technical guidance to site EHS teams and management.
Lead regional OS, OH/IH audits and support corrective action implementation.
Provide technical guidance and support to site EHS teams and operational leaders.
Facilitate cross-site collaboration and sharing of best practices.
Partner with engineering, operations, and HR to integrate safety into business processes.
Other EHS related works assigned by direct supervisor.
Occupational Safety:
Lead the development and execution of regional occupational safety strategies aligned with global EHS policies.
Develop and deliver safety training programs tailored to site-specific needs.
Promote safety awareness through campaigns, toolbox talks, and leadership engagement.
Serve as a subject matter expert on occupational safety topics.
Supporting of each site to ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and standards (e.g., EU Directives, China GB standards, OSHA).
Supporting conducting risk assessments and implementing control measures to mitigate workplace hazards.
Track and analyze safety performance metrics, oversee incident investigations and root cause analyses.
Occupational Health:
Develop and implement regional occupational health strategies aligned with global EHS policies.
Oversee health surveillance programs, medical screenings, and return-to-work processes.
Collaborate with site medical professionals and external providers to ensure consistent health services.
Promote mental health and wellness initiatives across the region.
Industrial Hygiene:
Conduct and oversee exposure assessments (chemical, physical, biological agents).
Develop and maintain IH monitoring programs (air sampling, noise, ergonomics, etc.).
Analyze IH data and recommend engineering or administrative controls.
Supporting of each site to compliance with IH standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO, REACH, GB standards).
Job Requirements:
Bachelor or Master majored in chemical industry, logistics, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation safety, logistics, or EHS roles, preferably in the chemical industry.
Knowledge in chemistry industry
Experience with audit and assessment
Excellent communication and training facilitation abilities
