About the Role

With your service-oriented attitude, you play a valuable role within our team in Rotterdam and towards our customers and suppliers. You also contribute to the growth of our organization.

Responsibilities

• The service that Eimskip offers its customers meets the highest quality standards.
• As an Expor Expeditor you play a crucial role in providing this service at our shipping company.
• You arrange export-related customs clearance, transport and further administrative processing.
• It is your responsibility to ensure that export cargo is collected, shipped, and arrives at its destination quickly.
• If a ship departs on the weekend, you don't mind working evening shifts.
• Providing optimal service to our customers and finding efficient solutions is always top of mind.
• Your daily tasks include:
• Accepting outgoing LCL and FCL bookings and processing them in our systems.
• Arranging transport by truck, barge, train, or feeder.
• Customs clearance of outgoing cargo flows.
• Complete handling of LCL and FCL export shipments to Iceland, the Faroe Islands, and Canada/the U.S.
• Preparing loading lists and coordinating them with the CFS and the stevedore.
• Preparing and processing the outgoing manifest.
• Checking incoming invoices.

Qualifications

• You have at least completed a Logistics MBO-4 diploma, supplemented with several years of work or internship experience in logistics.
• You are a team player with a flexible attitude, allowing you to quickly adapt to changes.
• You can perform well under pressure.
• You have a good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written. Fluent French, Spanish, or German is a plus.
• Experience with Fiton or Portbase is a plus.
• You have experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, and an affinity for logistics software.
• You are service-oriented and always willing to collaborate with others.
