More About The Role This is an exciting opportunity for you to light the way as an Indoor Farming Intern at GrowWise at the Signify Foundation. The indoor farming team is a small team dedicated to developing lighting solutions and growth recipes for indoor growers (no natural light) within the Horticulture LED solutions team. Helping growers get the most return and the best quality crop out of their lighting installation is one of our core tasks and research and experiments aimed towards developing detailed growth advise typically encompasses all aspects relevant to plant growth like (obviously) light recipes but also broader climate (temperature, relative humidity and CO2), cropping systems, genetics (often together with plant breeding companies) and irrigation. Whether directly or indirectly, our experiments always aim to help growers find solutions for challenges related to indoor growing and aim to improve yield and reliability often specific for our customers. If you enjoy setting up and executing good quality growth experiments, analysing data and translating these into clear and concise one sliders that can help growers understand the effects of growth factors on yield and quality (shelf life, vitamins and nutrients) while improving your knowledge of high tech horticulture then come and apply for one of our internship vacancies in indoor growing! What You'll Do

Designing a series of indoor growth trials together with your supervisor
Planning and execution of trials: preparing, cleaning, sowing, monitoring, harvesting, collecting data.
Analysing data, writing a report and presenting to peers and colleagues
Supporting in the day to day task of trials of other students and plant specialists.

What We Are Looking For

You are eager to learn about horticulture, technology and plant growth experiments. Especially students with a background in agronomy, applied biology, green house horticulture are welcomed to apply.
Proactive and independent, a good communicator.
Finalizing a Bachelor or Masters in applied biology, greenhouse horticulture, plant sciences or a related field (3rd /4th year)
Available for 4 months or more
