Cost Engineer (HVAC)


Looking to bring your cost engineering skills to meaningful industrial projects?

We're hiring a Cost Engineer with a background in mechanical or HVAC engineering for projects in the Amsterdam area. You’ll be involved in technical installations for utilities, clean rooms, hospitals, data centers. All with a strong focus on HVAC systems. This role is all about detailed cost estimates, and preparing them for tenders.

This company works across the Netherlands and is active in the Amsterdam region. They design, build, maintain, and improve technical systems for industrial, utility, real estate, and infrastructure projects. Sustainability and energy efficiency are at the core of their work.

What Will You Do?

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and project budgets (Class 1 level) - this is a must!
  • Support tenders and pre-engineering with financial planning
  • Visit client sites to assess technical scope and translate it into budgets
  • Calculate costs for materials, subcontractors, and labor
  • Advise on financial feasibility and risks
  • Work on both renovation and new-build utility projects with a focus on HVAC

What Do You Bring?

  • MBO or HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 10 years of experience in cost engineering or calculating for HVAC/mechanical projects
  • Experience with project budgets and identifying risks
  • Knowledge of ATEX standards is a plus
  • Hands-on, analytical, and team-oriented
  • Fluency in English is perfect, Dutch is a big plus (if you join this role, you will be gven support to learn Dutch soon)
