Freelance SAP SuccessFactors Consultant – Netherlands

Location: Hybrid (Netherlands)

Type: Freelance / Contract

Duration: 6–12 months (with possible extension)

Start: February 2025

About the Company

We are working with one of the Netherlands’ largest retail groups, which has publicly adopted SAP SuccessFactors for their HR transformation.

They’re looking to scale their HR tech team to optimise and expand their SuccessFactors landscape — a compelling opportunity to work with a major, high-impact client.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead or support the implementation of SAP SuccessFactors modules such as Employee Central (EC) , Performance & Goals , Recruiting , or Learning
  • Configure and customize the SuccessFactors environment to meet the client's HR processes and business needs
  • Work closely with stakeholders (HR, IT, Operations) to gather requirements, design solutions, and manage changes
  • Provide integration support with other systems (e.g., payroll, SAP integrations)
  • Deliver post-implementation support, troubleshoot issues, and train internal teams
  • Advise on best practices, process improvements, and future SuccessFactors roadmap
  • Stay current on SuccessFactors releases and recommend enhancements or optimisations

Skills & Experience Required

  • 5+ years of relevant consulting experience working with SAP SuccessFactors
  • Proven track record in at least one or more SuccessFactors modules (e.g., EC, Recruiting, PMGM, LMS)
  • Hands-on experience with configuration, data migration, and integrations
  • Strong understanding of HR processes (core HR, talent, performance, recruiting)
  • Excellent communication skills in English ; Dutch is a plus
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables, and drive projects forward
  • Comfortable working on-site in the Netherlands as needed (hybrid model)
  • Experience working in a large-scale enterprise environment is highly desirable
