About the role

BME operates a highly customised Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central platform at the core of its business, supporting over 4,000 users across multiple countries. With continuous upgrades and new rollouts underway, we are strengthening our ERP team. The ERP Developer plays a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing this mission-critical solution. Working closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders, the developer delivers high-quality, scalable, and reusable solutions that meet BME’s group standards. The role requires translating functional needs into robust technical designs and contributing to ERP projects across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customise, maintain, and upgrade the ERP solution based on functional specifications from consultants and business stakeholders.

• Translate business processes into clear technical designs and code using AL and upgrade pathways from C/AL.

• Partner with functional consultants and local IT teams to refine requirements, solve technical challenges, and ensure solutions deliver real business impact.

• Execute unit testing, support integration testing, resolve issues, and ensure smooth deployments.

• Provide Level 3 technical support to safeguard system performance and stability.

• Stay ahead of platform updates, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive ongoing ERP modernisation.

• Create high-quality documentation to support transparency, reusability, and long-term maintainability.

Your profile

• Strong programming expertise in AL, C/AL, SQL, and proficiency with VS-Code, DevOps, and YAML.

• Experience with Azure cloud and modern development methodologies.

• Ability to design scalable, maintainable, and reusable ERP solutions.

• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.

• Able to work independently and collaboratively with business stakeholders, key users, and local IT teams.

• At least 3 years of experience developing ERP solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

• Degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience with ERP modernisation and Microsoft PowerApps is an advantage.

• Fluent in English; an additional European language is a plus.
