Our client in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry is seeking an EHS Team Lead to oversee and elevate Environment, Health & Safety performance across a highly regulated production environment. The position focuses on EHS systems leadership, regulatory compliance, audit coordination, and continuous improvement, with responsibilities spanning two closely connected sites.
Core Responsibilities
- Leadership of cross-functional teams and subject matter experts
- Coordination and execution of EHS audits and compliance assessments
- Development, tracking, and closure of corrective and preventive actions
- Liaison with regulatory authorities on environmental and safety matters
- Oversight and optimization of EHS management systems aligned with ISO standards
- Contribution to strategic initiatives, capital planning, and improvement projects
- Promotion of a strong safety culture and operational excellence
Required Background
- HBO/WO degree in a technical or scientific discipline (environmental or safety specialization preferred)
- Proven experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 or similar EHS management systems
- Minimum 6 years of EHS experience, including 5+ years in a production/manufacturing setting
- Strong analytical capability and risk evaluation skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement across all levels
- Fluency in English and Dutch (or willingness to learn)
- Ability to travel weekly to a second site
