EHS Team Lead

Our client in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry is seeking an EHS Team Lead to oversee and elevate Environment, Health & Safety performance across a highly regulated production environment. The position focuses on EHS systems leadership, regulatory compliance, audit coordination, and continuous improvement, with responsibilities spanning two closely connected sites.

Core Responsibilities

• Leadership of cross-functional teams and subject matter experts
• Coordination and execution of EHS audits and compliance assessments
• Development, tracking, and closure of corrective and preventive actions
• Liaison with regulatory authorities on environmental and safety matters
• Oversight and optimization of EHS management systems aligned with ISO standards
• Contribution to strategic initiatives, capital planning, and improvement projects
• Promotion of a strong safety culture and operational excellence

Required Background

• HBO/WO degree in a technical or scientific discipline (environmental or safety specialization preferred)
• Proven experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 or similar EHS management systems
• Minimum 6 years of EHS experience, including 5+ years in a production/manufacturing setting
• Strong analytical capability and risk evaluation skills
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement across all levels
• Fluency in English and Dutch (or willingness to learn)
• Ability to travel weekly to a second site
