The Europe Accountant - Benelux ensures accurate and timely monthly reporting for the European region, maintaining a strong internal control environment and supporting statutory compliance. This role partners with Shared Service Centers and local finance teams to deliver high-quality financial outcomes while driving process improvements. Key Responsibilities
Financial Close & Reporting
Execute accurate and timely month-end close for the European region.
Prepare and review local Balance Sheet reconciliations and reviews.
Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and statutory requirements.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with Shared Service Centers to ensure all local journal entries are completed.
Serve as a point of contact for Group external auditors during audits.
Support local finance teams across multiple countries to meet regional requirements.
Process & Control Enhancement
Maintain a strong internal control environment across all accounting activities.
Identify and implement best practices in reporting, reconciliations, and controls.
Contribute to finance process improvements and digital enablement initiatives.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, or equivalent).
Proven experience in regional or multi-country accounting roles.
Strong English proficiency (written and verbal).
Proficiency in at least one local European language.
Ability to manage audits and maintain robust internal controls.
Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience
Experience with ERP systems and finance transformation projects.
Exposure to multinational finance environments.
Familiarity with internal control frameworks and compliance processes.
Education & Qualifications
Professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
