Role description: Responsible for the design team (monodisciplinary and/or smaller projects) or responsible to the sr design manager for all technical aspects of the services, such as design technical management, contract compliance, inter-disciplinary co-ordination, quality and design approvals. Primary accountabilities: Accountable for the successful technical design delivery in accordance with the Project Scope & Technical Requirements. Key responsibilities:

Provide leadership and technical guidance to the design team.
Represent Arcadis in design and technical meetings
Management, integration, and coordination of all disciplines contributing to the design.
Management of constructability and cost estimating activities.
Overall responsibility for the quality of design packages deliverables including quality system implementation, issue identification and correction
Undertaken functional and technical reviews and signoff of Design Packages prior to release to project manager.
Day to Day client interface at a project level.
Responsible for adherence to Project Design Management Plan and Quality Management Plan
Identifying lessons learned and continuous improvement actions and provide to the project team as necessary.
Provide assurance that the technical design scope adheres to the quality management systems and processes.
Identifying and monitoring technical and or project risks (and reporting them to the project manager) to ensure technically derived risks are appropriately managed.
Drive communication of client requirements, consistency and coordination between design packages and Environmental disciplines.
Awareness of design scope. Ensuring that works are not undertaken outside of scope, and escalating scope changes to the Senior Project Manager and Commercial Manager when requested
Identification of opportunities for innovation.
Provide guidance and support to project team.
Efficient project delivery.

Qualifications & Experience:

Proven experience in the delivery of technical aspects of (major) infrastructure design and documentation.
Extensive engineering management experience.
Collaborative and Design & Construct (D&C) contract delivery experience.
Demonstrated experience in the co-ordination and management of complex technical requirements and interfaces.
