Systems Engineer for Quantum & Cryogenic Systems


As a Systems Engineer for Quantum & Cryogenic Systems at Delft Circuits, you’ll work at the intersection of electrical & mechanical engineering, cryogenics, and quantum computing. You’ll design, integrate, and optimize complex cryogenic I/O systems, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to build scalable quantum hardware based on our Cri/oFlex® platform.

At Delft Circuits, we’re pushing the boundaries of cryogenic electronics with our flagship Cri/oFlex® platform—the world’s first fully integrated cryogenic I/O solution for quantum computing.

What you’ll do

  • Lead system-level design & integration of quantum hardware
  • Translate requirements into system architectures & specifications
  • Design and validate electrical, mechanical & thermal interfaces
  • Coordinate testing, verification & risk management
  • Support hardware development (cryogenic, RF, mechanical, thermal)
  • Guide junior engineers and collaborate across R&D, physics & production
  • Contribute to documentation and product qualification

What you bring

  • MSc/PhD in EE, ME, Applied Physics, Systems Engineering or similar
  • Expertise in ≥2 areas: cryogenics, quantum hardware, RF, precision mechanical design, thermal engineering
  • 3+ year’s experience with complex high-tech systems
  • Hands-on testing/troubleshooting skills & strong communication
  • Familiarity with systems engineering practices; customer-facing experience is a plus
  • Prior customer facing experience 

Nice to have

Experience with quantum platforms, cryostats, low-noise electronics, RF design, and tools like MATLAB/Python, CAD, or ANSYS/COMSOL/CST.
