The Air Product Manager NL/BE owns the strategic responsibility for the performance and development of the Road product in the Netherlands and Belgium, in close collaboration with global, regional, and local stakeholders.
Manage the product in all aspects, including but not limited to Pricing & Procurement, Cost optimization, Product innovation, as well as definition and implementation of service and process standards.
Build, own, and manage the Air value proposition and develop pro-actively market-ready products (incl. Procurement) for Air solutions.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the area of responsibility and drive the development/growth of the product through supporting Sales pro-actively and own Business Development opportunities.
Responsibilities
Maximize upon the Air synergy opportunities gained through acquisitions and legacy AIT business and develop and create best in class Air services and profitability in line with global Product Strategy
Implementation of the strategic direction and further development of the Air product for all operational divisions in scope
Implement and develop Gateway structures within the region, where it makes strategic/financial sense.
Implement and develop centralized pricing structures within the region, where it makes strategic/financial sense.
Negotiate and maintain the tariffs (buying) in the respective region.
Set up & support the regional procurement structure within global framework.
Build and maintain relationships with airfreight partners in the respective region and act as a global sponsor.
Actively engage with sales and customers, especially supporting the development of global/regional key accounts: negotiating rates in close alignment with tender management.
Lead regular meetings for product-sales collaboration, reviews with local sales directors, Regional commercial teams, and Country Managers.
Establish the mechanisms for the local and regional teams to regularly generate, share, and exchange market intelligence both locally and regionally

Qualifications EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Finished study and education in business administration management.
Otherwise, completed further training in the field of Freight Forwarding, business administration.
Working experience of at least 5 years in international forwarding (of which a minimum of 3 years in similar roles).
Proven track record of driving (profitable) growth.
