Regional Sourcing Manager Logistics

In close cooperation with divisional supply chain teams across Europe, you will lead regional tender processes on transportation, warehousing and value-added logistic services. You will be working in a team that consists of Global Sourcing Managers, Regional Sourcing Managers, Logistic Buyers, Operational Buyers and will be reporting to the Lead Regional Sourcing Manager – Logistics.

About the role

You will actively lead strategic sourcing activities for the logistics sub-category, with the goal of achieving cost reductions, while maintaining or improving service quality or vendor service levels, and identify, evaluate & select suppliers, negotiating and closing framework-agreements for the EU region. Driving service optimization throughout ICL via collaboration with the relevant ICL units, you will:

• Maintain and develop in-depth knowledge of suppliers, markets & trends;
• Perform best-in-class negotiation processes via analysis of supply & demand trends;
• Establish and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers;
• Monitor performances of vendors and their compliance with their commitments;
• Address & solve operational issues with suppliers.

About you

To be successful in this exciting role, you have a relevant Bachelor degree and at least 5 years of relevant work experience in logistics procurement, international supply chain of chemicals and/ or minerals industry. You have an excellent command of English, an additional European language is a pre. Furthermore, you have:

• Experience with logistics of dry bulk, liquid bulk and packed products all modalities.
• Understanding of ADR, ADN, RID, IMO, IATA, GDP or IFS;
• Understanding of regulations for warehousing of chemical and fertilizer products;
• Experience with systems e.g. Freight Procurement, Transporeon TMS, SAP, MS Office;
• Demonstrable track record of success in managing complex, cross-functional activities and developing/executing key procurement processes;
• Strong result driven personality with good communication, negotiation and relations skills;
• Ability to work collaboratively, and in a matrix management style organization;

We expect you to be 4 days on site in our Amsterdam EHQ, 1 day remote, and (international) travel of approx. 10% is part of the job, too.
