(Key) Account Manager Southern Europe

You will be responsible for the sales of functional ingredients used in the sports and health nutritional supplements industry for Southern Europe. You will build strong partnerships with key customers and translate market insights into sales strategies.

About the open position

For Van Eeghen, Amsterdam we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager for Southern Europe. You will manage and grow relationships with their Tier 1 and 2 customers in the sports, health and nutritional supplements industry. You have a strong strategic mindset, a deep understanding of the market and the ability to leverage insights to drive business success.

You are eager to contribute to the further professionalization of the sales department. The office of Van Eeghen is in Amsterdam; it is located in a beautiful historic building on the Herengracht in Amsterdam. It is a hybrid position.

Your Profile

You have strong communication and interpersonal skills and are comfortable navigating complex organizational environments. You are experienced in strategic account planning and value-based selling,with strong multitasking, organizational, and reporting capabilities. Effective project and time management come naturally to you, allowing you to deliver results with consistency and impact.

Qualifications

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, or similar, or in Business, Marketing with experience in the food ingredients industry
  • You are fluent in English and a professional command of Italian and Spanish. French is an advantage
  • Proven experience in value selling and new business development.
  • It is a plus if you bring a network of clients and relations within the mentioned areas, specifically in sports and nutritional supplements.
  • You have a deep understanding of the functional ingredients industry, including market trends and customer needs.
  • You have a strong sales acumen and strategic mindset, with demonstrated ability to negotiate and close complex deals.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics, and reporting tools.
