Long-term Freelance Position

We are looking for an ambitious and driven Construction Manager to take a long-term position within a global capital project execution function of a major international owner-operator currently planning and executing significant investment programmes.

Our client is a major international owner-operator that is investing significant amounts of capital into its ambitious and innovative projects in the European Union. Our clients pride themselves on their social responsibility commitments and on building a carbon-neutral future.

This is a position for a construction management professional looking to oversee technically complex mission-critical decarbonisation projects. Those who have demonstrated capabilities to manage and coordinate high-performing construction teams in the planning and execution of industrial construction deliverables and the coordination of all engineering, subcontractor, and other key vendor activities will find this role an opportunity to further develop and add further prestigious projects to their portfolio.

Overview of Responsibilities:

• Oversee multiple Construction Management Teams
• Ensure construction activities are fully compliant with company and project standards.
• Surveillance of subcontractor and supplier activities within their respective work scopes.
• Development and maintenance of the construction plan and other key project documents
• Review Constructability documentation and support engineering activities

Previous Experience/Qualities:

• Construction & Commissioning experience within the Petrochemical/Oil & Gas sector is a must
• Previous experience on decarbonisation projects is highly advantageous
• Strong communicative skills to liaise and coordinate between multiple construction teams and stakeholders
• An ability to effectively prioritise and ensure project milestones are achieved within schedule and budget
• Fluency in both English & German
