The role

In the role of Compensation and Benefit Specialist you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of international payrolls for both Dutch and international employees working for the European HQ. In this role you'll also support the administration of compensation and benefits policies and oversee the lease car park. Close collaboration with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to deliver efficient, compliant, and high-quality payroll and benefits operations is essential. You will also act as the primary contact for payroll-related inquiries and support continuous process improvements across payroll systems.

What will you do?

  • Execute, manage, and control monthly payroll processes for the Netherlands and other international payrolls.
  • Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance with local legislation, and timely salary payments.
  • Reconcile payroll reports with finance data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support audits (SOX, internal, or external) and provide documentation as needed.
  • Drive process improvements and standardization of compensation and benefit policies across countries.
  • Manage the lease car park and manage the lease policy.
  • Reporting on certain payroll and HR data and keeping up to date with legal standards and regulations.

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll administration, ideally in an international environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Dutch payroll, labor law, and tax regulations.
  • Experience managing external payroll vendors and benefits providers.
  • Familiarity with SOX controls and internal audit requirements.
  • Proficiency in HRIS/payroll systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion, AFAS) and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills in English and Dutch.
  • Very high attention to detail, integrity and confidentiality.

  • a gross monthly salary between €3.800 and €5.300 - aligned with your knowledge and work experience;
  • a 13th month and 8% vacation allowance;
  • 32 vacation days and 5 scheduled days off;
  • travel expenses / home office allowance.
