NWC Application Engineer

At Prysmian, the Application Engineer supports the High Voltage accessory portfolio by translating customer requirements into engineered solutions, supporting sales and project teams, and contributing to product standardization and innovation.

Working in close collaboration with Sales, Engineering, and R&D, you will develop the optimal technical proposal for clients, taking into account the full Prysmian product and service portfolio. The main goal is to enhance added value and establish a unique competitive advantage for the company.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries (intercompany and export) in consultation with Sales
• Prepare quotation documents, including technical proposals, quality and inspection plans
• Compile customer documentation, such as type test reports, data sheets and other special specifications
• Design installation concepts with the aim of reducing TCO
• Design using the 3D CAD system and electric field simulation software
• Design marketing documents, such as data sheets, brochures and instructions
• Maintain customer contacts

• Analyse specifications

2. Product & Field Support

• Field support and demos
• Troubleshoot issues

3. Documentation

Create and maintain documentation for products and projects.

4. Internal Engineering

• Support product management and R&D
• 3D configurator administration (Solid Works)
• 3D programming configurator (Driveworks/PDM)

5. Collaboration

Collaborate globally with your Prysmian colleagues and work with Operations, Project Management, Quality, and Supply Chain.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor/Master in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with HV systems preferred
• CAD/PDM advantageous
• Technical understanding, CAD knowledge, communication skills, problem solving
