Data Scientist

Hondenvrienden is growing its Data Science team within the Compliance, Legal, and Risk departments. This role plays a crucial part in enhancing data-focused regulatory and risk frameworks within the company.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed data analysis and develop predictive models for tackling challenges in Risk, Fraud, Financial Crime, Compliance, and Operations.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders to promote data-centric decision-making.
• Lead data analytics and data science projects from planning to execution, transforming insights into actionable strategies.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to enhance data sets and pipelines.
• Develop and deploy user-friendly self-service analytical tools accessible to non-technical users.

This role requires you to have:

• At least 4 years of experience in a Data Scientist/Quantitative Analyst role, preferably within the Compliance, Legal, and Risk domain.
• Degree in STEM disciplines, such as Data Science, Computer Science, or Econometrics.
• Expertise in data analytics using scripting languages like SQL and BI tools like Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI.
• Strong Python skills with libraries like Pandas, Numpy, Tensorflow, and Keras.
• Ability to simplify complex technical outcomes into actionable insights.
• Excellent collaboration skills, working across departments and with various stakeholders.
