Head of IT Products Data and AI

This is a senior leadership role where you can shape how Data and AI drive real commercial impact. You will sit at the intersection of technology and business, building scalable data products and AI solutions that support end to end decision making across commercial functions. The Role

You will lead the Data and AI product capability for Commercial Operations, working closely with business leaders and a central platform team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Defining and executing the Data and AI IT strategy for commercial functions such as marketing, sales, service, and logistics.
• Direct line management to 3-6 engineers (Data & AI)
• Leading the delivery of cross functional Data and AI use cases that generate measurable business value.
• Building and managing a high performing team of engineers, providing technical leadership, coaching, and clear delivery direction.
• Driving the design of interoperable data products that integrate seamlessly with a global data platform.
• Establishing strong governance, architecture standards, and delivery processes to ensure quality, security, and compliance.
• Acting as a connector between business stakeholders and central IT, ensuring alignment on roadmaps, priorities, and ways of working.
• Promoting data literacy and AI adoption through enablement, training, and community building.

Your Skills and Experience

• Strong commercial experience delivering Data and AI solutions in complex, enterprise environments.
• Deep understanding of modern data platforms, analytics architectures, and AI or machine learning solutions.
• Practical experience with cloud based data and AI ecosystems and scalable integration patterns.
• Proven ability to lead and develop technical teams while managing multiple stakeholders.
• Confidence influencing senior business and IT leaders and translating strategy into delivery.
• A collaborative mindset with a focus on reuse, standardisation, and long term platform value.
