Financial Accountant

The Role

For our Central European Finance department, we are looking for a precise and motivated Financial Accountant . Based in our office in Deurne (NL), you will support the Finance Manager and contribute to an efficient and accurate daily accounting process in line with IFRS guidelines. You will work in an international, dynamic environment with ample opportunities for personal and professional development.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including depreciation, prepayments, payroll, inventory and accruals
• Closely collaborate with colleagues from our Shared Service Center in Poland (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking) to ensure accurate postings and efficient transaction processing
• Process monthly intercompany cost allocations and prepare intercompany recharges
• Perform monthly general ledger reviews, including full reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and validation of all profit and loss accounts
• Support management accounting activities and collect financial data for management reporting, including responding to queries from headquarters
• Prepare VAT returns and statistical reports
• Assist with the monthly closing process and the preparation of the FSBV consolidation package, together with the Finance Manager
• Monitor automated postings and prepare corrections where required
• Review employee expense claims and ensure compliance with company policies
• Support annual and semi‑annual audits, including fixed asset administration
• Contribute to the budget and forecast cycles

You Are a Great Fit for This Role If You

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (HBO level) or have equivalent professional experience
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English
• Bring at least 2 or 3 years of relevant experience in a similar Finance & Accounting role
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external advisors
• Work in a structured, accurate and efficient manner
• Possess strong analytical skills and a critical, detail‑oriented mindset
• Are reliable, responsible and eager to learn and develop new competencies
