Our client is a fully integrated SaaS ERP platform built exclusively for rail freight carriers. One system replacing spreadsheets and disconnected point solutions: operations planning, staff rostering, asset and wagon management, compliance, all in one place.

The market is niche and tight-knit, and our client has already won ~110 clients across Europe. Now, North America is opening up: virtually no full-suite competition, a ready-made install base of 200+ companies via a recent acquisition, and you as the commercial lead to unlock it.

THE ROLE

As Head of Sales, you'll sit in the Management Team and own the full commercial funnel — new business and upsell on an existing client base. Contract values from €50K to several hundred thousand euros ARR. Sales cycles of 6–9 months. Stakeholders from independent operators to state-owned enterprises. You lead the commercial engine.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Build a scalable GTM for Europe and North America
  • Structure the outbound motion and HubSpot pipeline from the ground up
  • Manage and coach a team with room for growth.
  • Activate the NA client base
  • Design an account management function that doesn't yet exist
  • Represent the company at international trade shows (incl. Munich, Singapore)
  • Feed directly into CEO-level commercial strategy

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 4+ years of proven revenue ownership in B2B SaaS or tech — real outcomes, not activity metrics
  • Experience leading a commercial new business and accountmanagement team
  • Enterprise / complex sales: long cycles, multiple stakeholders, high ACV
  • Strategic capability: write a sales plan, define ICP, present GTM thinking
  • Genuine hands-on mentality — you get into deals yourself
  • Willing to travel internationally
  • Fluent English — Dutch or German is a strong plus, not a hard requirement

STRONG NICE TO HAVES

  • Experience in SaaS ERP or vertical SaaS sales
  • Proven track record opening a new geographic market
  • Familiarity with rail, logistics, or the industrial / OT sector
  • Experience with a formal sales methodology (Challenger, MEDDIC, etc.)
  • HubSpot experience or scaling a CRM into a structured sales tool
  • Exposure to land-and-expand and upsell motions

WHAT YOU GET
