Oversees smaller procurement projects or processes, ensuring alignment with policies and objectives. Addresses recurring but varied procurement challenges by analyzing multiple factors, such as supplier performance, market and industry conditions, cost considerations, and delivery timelines, to develop practical procurement solutions. Responsibilities include providing key analytics into supplier performance and identifying opportunities to improve overall supplier performance, supporting new supplier onboarding and product introductions, analyzing market and industry conditions and executing buying strategies in accordance with agreed upon buying plans at the optimum cost/quality relationship. Contributes to the introduction of new procurement methods, processes, or standards. Communicates and collaborates effectively with internal teams, such as strategic sourcing, and / or broader supply chain, finance, and external stakeholders, including suppliers and vendors, to exchange information and maintain strong, collaborative relationships.

As a Buyer - Bioprocessing you will be responsible for all aspects of daily purchase order management and will be able to solve complex problems with innovation and ingenuity.

• You support daily management of vendors including PO creation, confirmations and updates, adjusts delivery dates, provides feedback to buyers regarding inventory position and runs reporting to populate vendor scorecards and helps facilitate monthly metric reviews.
• You utilize the daily purchasing workbench to perform performs ERP system updates for master data fields in conjunction with AFH master data policy, issue RMA's, coordinate communication on discontinuation of raw materials.
• You execute MRP transactions to support buyers with PFEP, master data updates, part maintenance, and master data auditing and corrective actions.
• You manage indirect vendors including vendor managed inventory for consumables
• You follow standard work flow established for the role and provides recommendations for improvements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, or Mathematics preferred or equivalent/applicable experience
• 1-2 years working in a procurement capacity preferred
• APICS/CPIM certification desirable

YOUR KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Solid written and verbal Dutch and English communication skills, work experience in a matrix environment desirable
• Strong analytical skills
• Formal problem solving training highly desirable, i.e. Six Sigma
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel and Access.
