The job profile

As Director Financial Control, you will play a key role in building the scalable financial backbone required for TSC Life’s next phase of international growth. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead an international Financial Control team of six professionals and take ownership of the quality, reliability and compliance of Finance across the group.

The foundation is in place, while the continued growth and increasing international complexity create significant opportunities to further professionalize the function. You will strengthen controls, standardize ways of working and improve processes across countries and legal entities. Combining leadership with strong financial expertise, you will build a future-proof Financial Control function that supports both day-to-day performance and TSC Life’s broader strategic ambitions.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the financial administration, monthly and year-end closing and statutory reporting across TSC Life’s international entities.
• Lead, coach and further develop an international Financial Control team of six, creating clear ownership and accountability.
• Strengthen accounting policies, internal controls and the group accounting manual across the organization.
• Drive standardization, simplification and automation of Financial Control processes and ways of working.
• Take ownership of statutory and financial audits and act as primary Finance contact for external auditors.
• Coordinate tax compliance, transfer pricing, treasury and cash management across the group.
• Support a robust and scalable Finance organization capable of facilitating continued international growth and strategic developments.

The ideal candidate

TSC Life is looking for an experienced Financial Control leader with the drive and expertise to further professionalize and scale the Finance function. You bring a strong technical foundation and naturally identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and ways of working within a growing international organization.

You combine high standards for financial quality and compliance with a pragmatic, hands-on leadership style. As a leader, you provide direction, develop your team and create ownership, while remaining close enough to the content to challenge and support where needed. You are comfortable operating alongside the CFO and engaging with senior stakeholders, auditors and advisors across different countries.

Your background:

• Extensive experience in Financial Control, Accounting and/or Audit, preferably within an international, multi-entity environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, statutory requirements, internal controls and audit processes.
• Proven experience leading and developing Finance teams.
• Experience operating across different international accounting environments and legal entities.
• Strong track record in improving, standardizing and professionalizing financial processes and controls.
• Hands-on and proactive leadership style, combined with the maturity to operate at senior management level.
• Master’s degree or equivalent; RA qualification is a strong plus.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is an advantage.
