Lab Technician (QC)


pCarries out a range of complex scientific support tasks at customer facilities, requiring significant interpretation of technical/scientific protocols to support research objectives effectively. Solves intricate research support and technical challenges independently, drawing on a deep understanding of laboratory techniques, experimental design, and past experiences to inform judgments and decisions. Supports nucleic acid workflows, performs DNA/RNA extraction and preparation for sequencing, and/or maintains and expands cell and tissue cultures, supporting RD and production workflows. Collects, documents, and organizes data and observations, ensuring clarity and accessibility for review and analysis by research teams. Collaborates extensively with internal scientific support teams and customer contacts, facilitating communication and understanding across disciplines to meet customer's needs. /p pstrongQC Support Technician /strong /p pstrongLocation: /strong Nijmegen, Netherlands /ppstrongContract: /strong Full-time | Initial 1-year contract with the possibility of conversion to a permanent position /p BR/ulliPerform environmental monitoring sampling activities. /liliPrepare laboratory cleaning solutions and media plates. /liliClean and maintain Laminar Air Flow (LAF) cabinets. /liliPerform pH meter calibration activities. /liliCarry out glassware washing, preparation, and storage activities. /liliSupport laboratory housekeeping, readiness, and organization initiatives. /liliManage laboratory waste collection, handling, and disposal activities. /liliConduct routine safety inspections, including eyewash stations and emergency showers. /liliAssist with inventory management, material movement, and laboratory supplies coordination. /liliProvide cross-functional support to QC, laboratory operations, and other site departments as required. /liliContribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance laboratory efficiency and service delivery. /liliEnsure all activities are performed in accordance with SOPs, GMP/GxP requirements, safety standards, and compliance procedures. /li /ulBR/ulliMinimum secondary education qualification, including English, Mathematics, and Science (or equivalent). /liliPrevious laboratory support, scientific, operational, or service-based experience is preferred. /liliExperience working within a GMP-regulated laboratory environment is advantageous. /liliGood understanding of laboratory processes and workflows. /liliKnowledge of GxP compliance requirements within a laboratory environment. /liliUnderstanding of Health Safety requirements and safe laboratory working practices. /liliExperience working with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and controlled documentation. /liliUnderstanding of customer service principles, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). /liliExperience with Lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices such as Tiered Daily Management, Standard Work, or Kaizen is advantageous. /liliExperience working to GMP standards is preferred. /li /ulBR/ulliOpportunity to work in a modern scientific and quality-focused environment. /liliHands-on experience supporting critical laboratory and quality control operations. /liliExposure to GMP-regulated laboratory practices and compliance standards. /liliCollaborative and supportive team culture. /liliOpportunities for professional development and growth. /liliA full-time position with an initial 1-year contract and the potential for permanent employment based on performance and business needs. /li /ul pstrongIf you are passionate about laboratory operations, quality, and providing excellent support services, we encourage you to apply and become part of our growing team. /strong /pBR/
