Mechanical Development Consultant – Complex Mechatronic & High‑Precision SystemsAs a consultant, you will be embedded in a high‑tech innovation environment, applying your mechanical engineering expertise to design, develop, integrate, and test innovative mechatronic systems.ResponsibilitiesTake ownership of mechanical subsystems in complex mechatronic products, from concept design to production‑ready solutionsTranslate system requirements and architectures into robust, detailed mechanical designs suitable for volume manufacturingLead the creation and maintenance of technical documentation (BOMs, assembly instructions, service manuals, engineering drawings) to industrial standardsWork closely with software, electronics, dynamics, thermal, and systems engineers to ensure full integration of mechanical designsSupport prototype build, integration, testing, and design validation, including design reviews and issue resolutionContribute to design-for-manufacturing and design-for-serviceability activities with suppliers and manufacturing engineeringAct as a technical counterpart for internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring alignment on requirements, quality, and timelinesSkills & ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering5–10 years of experience in mechanical product development for complex systems, preferably in aerospace/medical devices/ semiconductor, or other regulated/high‑precision industriesProven track record in mechanical design of mechatronic assemblies and mechanisms, including 3D modelling and 2D drawings for manufacturingStrong proficiency in Creo Parametric (3D CAD); experience with cabling/routing modules is a plusSolid understanding of mechanics, dynamics, thermal behavior, materials selection, tolerancing, and metrologyExperience working within structured development processes (e.g. phase‑gate, V‑model) in an industrial environmentExperience generating complete technical documentation packages (BOMs, assembly instructions, service manuals, drawings)Experience with PLM/PDM systemsExperience in design for manufacturability and collaboration with suppliers on industrializationAmaris Consulting is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
