THE RESEARCH BEHIND THE PRACTICE

BECOME® Institute was founded on the research of scientist, author and serial entrepreneur Eric Bartels into what enables exceptional leaders, companies and brands to become ultraperformers. More than twenty-five years of research underpin this work, with its discoveries and implications documented in a series of books.

That research led to the BECOME® Ontology and the BECOME® Framework: an integrated way of thinking, business logic and organisational architecture. The BECOME® Program helps leaders and their organisations implement that architecture in practice.

Instead of treating strategy, positioning, culture, organisational change and execution as separate consulting assignments, we address their underlying connections through one integrated approach.

BECOME® Practice is the implementation practice of BECOME® Institute and is delivered exclusively through BECOME Alliance.

If you want to build a career in consulting, the familiar choices are to join an established consultancy, start your own independent firm or become part of a franchise.

BECOME Alliance offers a fourth model: independent entrepreneurship within one fully integrated company.

Built on the research behind BECOME®, this model combines the freedom to build your own practice with the strength, identity and shared ambition of one company.

As a Partner, you operate through your own entity while working fully on behalf of BECOME Alliance. You develop client relationships, present proposals and deliver BECOME® Programs. BECOME Alliance contracts with clients, invoices and collects payments. Together, we build the company and its reputation.

A distinctive financial reward structure supports this model. You earn, among other things, from the revenue you generate, and you can acquire share options in BECOME Alliance as your practice grows. We explore the full structure, opportunities and individual arrangements during the interview.

And you do not build your practice alone. We provide training in the BECOME® methodology, shared knowledge and tools, collaboration with fellow Partners, and entrepreneurial guidance to help you develop your practice.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Build and develop your own practice within BECOME Alliance.
• Develop client relationships and introduce the BECOME® approach to business leaders.
• Work with CEOs, leadership teams and marketing leaders on fundamental business challenges.
• Deliver BECOME® Programs, helping clients develop and implement the approach themselves.
• Collaborate with fellow Partners and contribute to the development of our shared company.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You must have demonstrable, relevant professional experience in at least one of these four backgrounds:

1. Strategy and organisational consulting

   Hands‑on experience in business strategy or organisational development, gained in consultancy or a responsible in‑house role.

2. Marketing and brands

   Several years of practical marketing or brand experience within a company or agency. You do not need to have held the title of brand strategist.

   Personally founding and substantially growing a business, with responsibility for its commercial development, organisation and results. A subsequent sale or exit is relevant but not required.

3. Change management

   Several years of practical experience guiding organisational change, people and the adoption of new ways of working.

These are alternative entry routes: you need at least one, not all four. If you have none of these backgrounds, this partnership opportunity is not the right fit. Technical AI, IT or engineering expertise alone is insufficient without relevant experience in one of the four areas.

You bring the practical experience; we train you in the BECOME® way of thinking and working. Prior knowledge of the methodology is not required.

You also bring intellectual curiosity, commercial initiative and the ability to earn the trust of business leaders. You are fluent in English; Dutch is valuable for working in the Dutch market.

You do not need to be an established independent consultant. We welcome experienced professionals ready to take an entrepreneurial step within one shared company.

HOW AND WHERE WE WORK

We regularly work together at our Utrecht office, combined with working from home and at client locations.

You should be based in the Netherlands, within practical travelling distance of Utrecht. Regular in‑person collaboration is part of the partnership.
